Next Week's Schedule & JP Reminder

The first week was very successful as we saw the Opti-1's brave the water for the first time and the Racers began their preparations for regattas with their new coaches. If you haven't had the time to meet the new sailing coaches, they plan to be at Family Night this coming Wednesday, so take the time to introduce yourself to these enthusiastic and talented individuals.

Speaking of Wednesday, the JP Parent Meeting is scheduled for July 6th at 6 pm if you have any questions or want more information about the program.

Since our regatta season is upon us, we are also going to hold a special meeting for all Racing parents next Thursday, July 7th at 6 pm to discuss the 2011 regatta schedule. It is important for parents to come to this meeting so that everyone involved understands the expectations and preparations that are needed to attend a regatta successfully. If your child is in the 420-1 class, but wishes to attend some regattas over the course of the summer, we also encourage you to attend.

Reminder: There is no JP this Monday, July 4th

One final reminder: please make sure kids of all ages have a change of clothes and a sweatshirt/fleece. The ocean water has not reached its summer temperature yet (we expect by Labor Day :) )...and we had a lot of wet shivering kids this week that we don't want to be uncomfortable for the remainder of the JP day...so please remind them to pack some dry, warm clothes. Thanks!
